New Prints for Sale

I’m selling new prints on Society6, which is a site that prints and ships art prints for artists. Its a way of getting art prints to a larger audience and much more cost-effective for me. These are the only ones up now, but I’ll slowly build the store with more items. So be sure to check back often.

I’m also trying to sell Ganesh Lagerfeld, the installation pieces I used for my thesis show. Jarrett keeps telling me to sell it on Etsy, so we’ll see. Thing is, I would have to sell each piece for $500 to just break even from what I spent to make them. They’re just collecting dust right now so maybe I should just try and get rid of them, who knows. Anyway, I’ve also just finished a slight re-design of the website. Working and being a productive member of society is taking it’s toll, but I found some time to do this at least. More to come soon, I’m sure.

Clash of the Titans

Finished the animations for the thesis show the other day. The exhibition is finally up so I’m posting the final videos, which I’ve been working on for some time now. I’m calling the exhibition Clash of the Titans. I’ll be posting images from the show soon.

Something New, Something Digital

It has always been one of my rules that I only make collages by hand. But I couldn’t help recreating a collages that was done at one of my Full Moon Celebrations. This was the result. I still only limited myself to the images that were printed for the event in the form in which they were printed—there are basically no digital manipulations other than some overlaying on the dress and golden rod.

I don’t know, maybe I’m trying something new after all. Maybe not. I am working relatively hard on my thesis show, which is coming up in February. More to come (allegedly).

Limited Edition Prints for Sale

I’m selling limited edition giclée prints of the one and only, Ganesh Lagerfeld. They will be inkjet prints on premium matte photo paper in brilliant detail at 8.5″ x 11″, and sell for the low price of $30. Only ten will be printed at this price so get yours while they last.

To avoid confusion, what I’m selling is a copy of the original, which is a completely hand-made collage with lace on paper. I’m selling the limited edition prints to make it available for sale as the original will not be. Each print will be delivered with documentation of the limited edition for authenticity, in case anyone is into that.

But really, if you’re interested in buying it do so and have fun with it; frame it and hang it up next to your squirrel painting or in front of you in the bathroom so it’s always looking, always pointing, secretly laughing at you while you’re sitting there doing your business.

Full Moon Video Clips

As promised, the video clips for the “Full Moon Celebrations” have been posted on my Vimeo account. The videos document the participants making homages to the full moon on the overhead projector. For the soundtrack I used two songs we sang during our serenade of the full moon: Blue Moon by The Marcels and Mr. Moonlight by The Beatles.

Summertime in the Studio

I’ve been frantically working on new stuff for my thesis show next year. Above is a new collage currently in the works. Also, I’ve had a couple of collages printed really large on transparency film that I’m planning on hanging in a light box. I’ve included some pictures of the studio as it stands now. More to come, including videos of a couple of performances I did in May and June to celebrate the full moon.
